Since 1865, this delicious aperitif wine has been celebrated for its delighful flavors and complexity, stimulating to the palate. True to its role as aperitif, Bonal was known as "ouvre l'appetit" --the key to open the appetite. It is made by an infusion of cinchona (quinine), gentian, and renowned herbs of the Grande Chartreuse mountains in a Mistelle base. As a Quinquina (also known as "Kina", an aperitif wine with cinchona), it is traditionally enjoyed neat, on ice with a twist, and in many classic mixed drinks.
