Château Du Rouet Rosé

Happy days are here again, rosé time is here again! This blend of 60% grenache and 40% syrah is just what the doctor ordered (or at least what she would have ordered in the days before HIPAA!) Grapes were picked by hand, and the wine was made by the first bleeding off of juice following a cool skin maceration. It is a delicately colored wine with an intense nose of raspberry and cassis and a fruity but also elegant taste. Rich and voluminous in the mouth, the length is impressive here, and calls for serious cuisine such as a saffron-rich seafood soup!
