A lovely , if somewhat unusual, Sancerre Rouge from this long-time organic estate. The aromas are subtle and pretty, red-currant and cherry, very light on the palate with refreshing acids and a finish of ripe, almost sweet fruit at the end. A lovely light red to serve well-chilled this summer... Pinot Noir pairs well with salmon or tuna and meaty white fish, lean red meats, duck, turkey, and fresh herbs like rosemary and thyme. It is also a great choice for the Thanksgiving table.
