87 PTS WILFRED WONG. A fine effort, the tar-like '07 Ramsay Merlot has fine black fruit flavors that nicely ride the palate; textured and fine in the finish; excellent with grilled beef. Merlot is a perfect match for beef and other medium-heavy dishes. It pairs wonderfully with rich, red pasta sauces, pork, turkey, beef, veal, pheasant, and garden salads.
