Redemption Sur Lee, a first-of-its-kind Rye whiskey innovation, draws inspiration from a French winemaking technique known as Sur Lie. To craft this innovative offering, we take our award-winning classic Rye mash bill (95% rye, 5% malted barley) and break conventional whiskey-making rules by reintroducing all the complex flavors from the backset or what we like to call the “whiskey lees” back into the barrels during aging. Our barrels undergo periodic rotation during the aging process to infuse even more depth of flavor. The result is a new to world whiskey expression that is both exceptionally smooth and complex.
