The Mundial Basil Hayden Toast Edition is a unique expression of our El Tesoro Reposado, aged for almost 6 months in Basil Hayden Toast oak barrels that are toasted then flash-charred, resulting in a delicious sipping tequila that is perfectly balanced with indulgent notes of cooked agave, cinnamon and crème brulee. As a special one-time release, this is the first and only time El Tesoro has been rested in Basil Hayden Toast barrels. THE PAINTING: OUR LIQUID El Tesoro tequila is crafted the traditional way, the hard way. It starts with only the highest quality 100% blue weber agave grown in the highlands of Jalisco. It is then cooked in horno ovens, crushed by a volcanic tahona stone, fermented in open air wood vats, and distilled to proof. THE FRAME: OUR AGING PROCESS Our tequila, fresh off the still, is aged for nearly 6 months in Basil Hayden Toast oak barrels that are toasted then flash-charred, resulting in a delicious sipping tequila with notes of cooked agave, cinnamon and crème brulee that perfectly complement our rich and complex tequila.
