The Maestro Dobel 50® Anniversary Series was created to celebrate the 50th anniversary of our founder, Juan Dobel, by presenting a tequila that enhances what it means to be a Maestro Tequilero with the greatest virtue: that of sharing. Each year, Dobel will produce a limited edition to honor 50th celebrations including birthdays, anniversaries and milestones. Dobel 50® 1973 is an exclusive edition that is aged in toasted American oak barrels and Pedro Ximénez sherry wine barrels. This Extra Añejo tequila is smooth and robust, crafted from 100% blue agave sourced from a family-owned, single estate in the volcanic lowlands of Tequila, Mexico. The artisanal process includes slow-cooking, slow double-distillation and a unique refinement process. The notes are extraordinarily generous and complex. Honey and caramel can be distinguished followed by notes of ripe fruit such as dates, cherries, raisins and figs. A spicy touch of pepper and ginger surprises the senses and entices the next sip of this luxurious tequila.
