This 10-year-old Càirdeas edition brings everyone together to celebrate 30 years of Friends of Laphroaig. Distillery Manager, Barry MacAffer, chose to create an ode to our Friends using two well-loved Càirdeas releases: 2019’s Triple Wood and 2021’s PX Cask. Married together by our Master Blender, Calum Fraser, in an age statement harking back to our first Càirdeas expressions. This is a Laphroaig that matches our punchy, reeky peat smoke and minerality with fruitier, sweeter qualities. Càirdeas means “friendship” in Gaelic. Every year we release a new limited edition bottling in honor of our Friends. Enjoy neat, over ice or with a few drops of purified water. A Càirdeas release is always special. It’s where we create something that’s just for our Friends. It’s 30 years since we started the Friends of Laphroaig, so this edition of our friends’ cask favourites is our way to say slàinte! Bottled at a fixed strength of 52.4% for a memorable experience to share with Friends.
