Red Wine Hot Chocolate

Ingredients

Serves: 4

  • 2/3 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 2/3 cup merlot
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Orange zest

Instructions

  1. Combine chocolate chips, merlot, milk, and sugar in a saucepan over medium-low heat
  2. Mix until chocolate chips are melted and remove from heat
  3. Add vanilla extract and stir
  4. Pour into mugs
  5. Garnish with orange zest
