Attractive medium rich gold color, evidence of high viscosity.Expressive nose built around Semillon-type aromas: rubber resin, fermented straw, ripe peach, orange flower, delicate honey notes. Nose echoed on palate, with a relatively restrained and well-integrated sweetness and quite vivid acidity.Leads to an energetic and well-focused finish with good length, and a flash of orange honey on the finish. Rockss 'n Fruit fans will appreciate the underying minerality and vivid fruit expression. This wine is built to be more food-friendly than the average Sauternes; oak if any is restrained, and there is botrytis but it doesn't overwhem on this quite ripe wine that still demands a year or two in the cellar.
