Every autumn, the head monastery in Fulda sent a courier on horseback with orders on when to begin the harvest. Composed of hand-harvested grapes from the single Schloss Johannisberg vineyard, the Gelblack is a highly aromatic Riesling with distinctive notes of white flowers, citrus and pear. It is complex, exceptionally balanced and refined. The aromas of white flowers, grinded lemon and pears complement the firm and fresh expression on the palate. Well-balanced and crisp, it pairs well with salads and roasted chicken.
