Product Info
Veuve du Vernay Brut Rose is a dry pink sparkling wine produced in France. It is a unique blend made using the Charmat Method, in Burgundy, region located on the South of Champagne’s appellation. Which gave an elegant and well-balanced fruity sparkling as it is a rose sparkling. It’s a blend made with premium grapes offering a fresh and delicious mouthfeel of raspberry on the palate. This wine is perfect to enjoyed for any celebration or in cocktail such as French 75’. Additionally, it is important to mention that this wine is made by Maryline GIANNA, our woman winemaker.
Veuve du Vernay was first made in the 1960s by Robert Charmat, the son of scientist Eugene Charmat who patented the Charmat Method of producing sparkling wines. Robert Charmat employed this method of trapping the carbonation from secondary fermentation to make his own sparkling wine full of fresh aromas and flavors. Robert named his wines for a widow in Vernay who helped his father during his early winemaking days. Veuve in French means widow.
Numerous and fine bubbles, beautiful bright and vivid rose color. On the nose the wine releases fruity scents, with forward raspberry aromas. Well-Balenced and fresh, this beautiful Rose shows on the palate the same flavors as the nose does. Some acidulous notes on the finish give it a pleasant freshness. A really enticing sparkling wine.
