A soft golden hue, this wine has a fresh, delicate nose with a trace of the tropical- scents of flower blossoms mingle with orange, honeysuckle and a touch of lemon. Entry on the palate is vibrant, with flavors of mandarin orange and a lovely acidity that gives this wine a serious dimension. The combination of tropical notes alongside citrus is emblematic of white grapes grown in a cooler regions of California and provides a singular character. Bright acidity carries through to the long finish.
Winery Notes Conundrum's original inspiration came from Charlie Wagner Sr., co-founder of Caymus Vineyards, who would sit at the dining room table and mix different wines to come up with something new to pair with his meal. Sourced from California’s premier winegrowing regions, this wine is both exotic and bright, a blend of Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Muscat Canelli and Viognier. Tasting Notes It lures you in with scents of apricot, pear and honeysuckle, and if you’re paying attention, orange and lemon meringue pie. Initial sweetness is balanced by natural acidity, and we love the hint of oak that plays with flavors of peach, apple, and citrus. The long finish will leave you longing for another glass.
