Angel's Envy Kentucky Straight Bourbon Finished in Tawny Port Casks

This February, Angel’s Envy released a limited run of just 5,400 bottles of our Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey Finished in Tawny Port Wine Barrels, the second release from their “Cellar Collection."

The tawny port finish release is Angel’s Envy’s oldest single release to date. The release has been crafted from some of Angel’s Envy’s oldest and finest 10-year-old bourbon, then put through an extended finishing process for 10 months in tawny port barrels. Tawny port is traditionally aged and matured in small oak barrels until the controlled process of oxidation imparts a rich flavor profile and tawny amber color. The mellow flavors from the tawny barrels perfectly complement the heat of Angel’s Envy’s 10-year-old bourbon, making every pour worth savoring.

It used to be said that tawny was the queen of port wines. In honor of these exquisitely refined flavors, Angel’s Envy has chosen a symbol of the queen to celebrate this rare and remarkable release.
