We’ve always embraced the unconventional qualities in ourselves and others that celebrate originality. But why combine peanut butter and whiskey? It’s pretty simple, actually. Peanut butter was a totally new and fascinating flavor for our co-founder Steve after immigrating as a refugee from Cambodia. And soon, he was hooked. He went on to develop a bestselling peanut butter whiskey cocktail at his bar and restaurant in Ocean Beach. This was a place as known for its foodie-friendly fare as it was for being a haven for local misfits and black sheep. He then teamed up with Brittany, his wife who just so happened to be a lawyer and chemist, to develop a standalone spirit that tasted great on its own, played well in a cocktail, and was made with real ingredients and a quality-first approach. The result is Skrewball: a whiskey reminiscent of the indulgent memory of young Steve’s taste buds, the pioneering peanut butter whiskey on the market, and our unconventional take on the American Dream.
