This red is built like a tank. When you first open the bottle the aroma and palate are encased in steel-firm tannins. We poured this powerhouse into a decanter and found that it was best after an hour and a half of decanting. The aroma revealed tobacco, violets, blackberries, and anise. On the palate the wall of tannins had finally crumbled and what remained was black cherries, dark chocolate, dry wood, and blackberries. Bring this to a high-end steakhouse and get the Porterhouse or take home some London Broil and make a dry rub.
