Armida Poizin Zinfandel 2012

Ok, we admit it. We went a little crazy with this blend fusing Zinfandel (75%) with Petite Sirah (19%) and with Grenache (6%). Unorthodox for sure, but we couldn€™t help ourselves. The blend is just so damn tasty. The wine is dark, broody and brawny - lusciously satisfying with concentrated raspberry, jammy black cherry, spiced mocha and dense plum flavors. The moderate oak contributes subtle vanilla and a smoky nuance. Winemaker Brandon says the Grenache gives the nose highlights of black currant and adds nuances of black licorice and pepper to the mid palate. Wow, he€™s good!
